BBC Studio: Getting into Media, Production and TV

Julia Bird Talent Manager BBC Scotland will present an overview of careers at the BBC with top tips and advice on working in media and production.

The BBC make a range of programmes from Glasgow, and the majority of Arts content for the BBC including Imagine (BBC1), Front Row (BBC2), and various arts documentaries exploring the lives and works of prolific artists including Roald Dahl, Billy Connolly, Muriel Spark and Angela Carter. Julia looks after Arts, Religion and History. Prior to working for the BBC, Julia was a freelance producer predominantly for Channel 4, working As a with Kirsty Allsopp for a number of years and produced programmes such as Kirstie’s Homemade Home and Fill Your House for Free. She has also worked on Big Brother, Wife Swap and Location, Location, Location.

This is a not to be missed session for anyone interested in a career in media, production and TV

Enterprise Studio Summer School Briefing Session

Enterprise Studio: Summer School (incorporating MODUAL:) is a free, three-week long programme open to students or recent graduates from The Glasgow School of Art (GSA), the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) and University of the Arts London (UAL). The programme is designed to equip you with the digital, entrepreneurial, collaborative and practical skills that will support you in making the transition from student to professional, creative practitioner.
