Apply now to Modual & SHIFT Summer Schools
Enterprise Studio is working together with the University of the Arts, London, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Queen Margaret University and the Cultural Enterprise Office to bring you two, very different, FREE TO ATTEND workshop programmes this summer.
These have been developed to support you to make the transition from being in education to practicing as a creative professional.
Modual: Kickstarter 2019* – August 12 – 23 – Assembly Hall, The Art School
During this intensive two-week programme, using various digital platforms, you will be collaborating with students and graduates from the University of the Arts London. Through a series of practical workshops, creative challenges, group activities and immersive debates, with mentorship and guidance from Fred Deakin, Professor of Interactive Digital Arts at UAL, Kickstarter, Makerversity and other industry experts, together you will be creating innovative projects for positive change that have the potential to become real world propositions. Participants will leave Modual with a new creative network, enhanced project management abilities and developed digital and communication skills.
*Important to note: Modual: Kickstarter 2019 is a 10 day workshop and will require you to be participating 9.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday, from Monday 12th August to Friday 23rd August
SHIFT Summer School** – September 9 – 13 – Tontine, 20 Trongate
SHIFT is a brand new programme of events run in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Queen Margaret University. SHIFT Summer School comprises of a progressive week of interactive workshops, activities and break-out conversations and reflections facilitated by leaders in design innovation, performance, broadcasting, curation and creative project management – among others. Working with your peer group from across a range of disciplines and with different skills, SHIFT Summer School is designed to equip you with the collaborative, practical, creative and entrepreneurial skills that will support you to make the shift from being a student to becoming an independent professional practitioner in the cultural and creative industries. Participants will leave with new ideas, new networks and an action plan for the next steps in their professional lives.
**Important to note: SHIFT is a 5 day workshop and will require you to be participating 10.00am – 6pm Monday to Friday, from Monday 9th September to Friday 13th September.

Both summer schools are open to all budding creative entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, musicians, producers and performers who are students at GSA or have graduated within the last 12 months.
You can apply to either or both of these workshops by completing the application form here.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28th June. Please note that places on each Summer School are limited so apply early!
All the information you supply within your application will remain confidential. GSA will only retain your details until the Summer Schools commence.

Working Spaces: Preparing to Graduate : The what, the where and the how of being a new GSA Graduate
